Therapy Frequently Asked Questions
I’m new to therapy…
I am so glad you are here. It’s ok if you feel uncomfortable, vulnerable and aren’t sure what to expect. Therapy can be uncomfortable at times and it should always feel safe. We will work together, getting to know one each other, so you get what you need in each session.
I’ve been to therapy before…
Welcome back! I am happy to connect with your previous therapist if you’d like. I look forward to supporting you at this point in your journey.
What’s the cost?
I am currently an out of network provider and am actively working on becoming in network with Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, and Health Partners.
Intake Sessions are $275
Regular sessions are $200
I am able to provide a superbill each month and offer a sliding scale. This means you will pay for therapy at the time of your appointment.
What’s the process like?
Email me to inquire about starting therapy. We start with an intake session. This is where we meet and see if we are a good fit to work together. From there, we will go over diagnosis, treatment plan and therapy goals.
Therapy is an ongoing collaboration. Healing is a marathon, not a sprint. My greatest hope with therapy is that you will leave feeling connected to yourself. When we trust ourselves, we are not easy to control.
I see all clients virtually, on a HIPPA compliant platform. Client hours are Monday through Thursday 8 am to 2pm.
How often can we meet?
Clients typically have a pre-scheduled reoccurring appointment each week or every other week. The frequency of session is determined by clinical need based on your treatment plan.
Therapeutic Modalities:
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Person Centered, Motivational Interviewing, Somatic Therapy, and EMDR.
How long are sessions?
As a trauma therapist, my sessions are 53 minutes long. This gives us enough time to utilize and implement trauma informed practices including emotional resourcing in every session.
